The Most Dangerous Game You Can Play
These days all of us have a very easy time of getting information on people, places, and things. It is simple to Google something, hit LinkedIn, ping FaceBook, etc. So given all of this friction free verification options, it amazes me that people will still walk into my office and either drop names all over the place and/or make grand comments telling me how RIM is looking to buy the company or we have a "Partnership" with Microsoft. We do check this stuff, folks, really.
Walking the fine line between being supremely confident and being a name dropping embellishing goof is a very very dangerous game.







Connections are plentiful and trust is strong in a small community. It's a very bad way to begin a relationship.

I competely agree, these people are shooting themselves in the foot before they even get started. Always have to watch out for them.
