This came only five days after my blog post "Terrorists Help Web 2.0" in which I predicted a great increase in the demand for services like Connexion. I guess Boeing doesn't agree with my analysis - or maybe after such big losses they're just ready to concede the market to others.

Fortunately there is at least one other service, OnAir, but it won't provide full Internet access until next year. There may well be others too. What Connexion provides will return.

Not to mention that, since it's now a felony to carry a laptop or PDA onto a scheduled air carrier flight, the service really wouldn't have been good for much anymore anyway.

Yet another reason to get my pilot's license. The worse airline flying gets, the more anxious I am to have an alternative.
